BSA Position Statements

Boy Scouts of America

Learn the official position of the Boy Scouts of America on the following topics (Links to National BSA Site):

Mission Statement
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Support Our Scouts Act of 2005
The act will help guarantee respect for the constitutional rights of the Boy Scouts and other youth and community organizations in their dealings with government.
In Support of Diversity
We hope that our supporters will continue to value the Boy Scouts of America's respect for diversity and the positive impact Scouting has on young people's lives.
School Access
Just as other student or community groups are permitted to have access to public school facilities, the Boy Scouts of America aims to have the same access.
United Way
The BSA aims for the United Way to realize Scouting's value to the potential, dignity, and worth of all people, regardless of their background.
