You can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn merit badges. There are more than 100 merit badges. Any Boy Scout may earn any merit badge at any time. You don't need to have had rank advancement to be eligible.

Aviation Merit Badge Clinic

Youth Aviation Adventure (YAA) is a fast paced single day event, held at an airport near you, for kids age 12 to 18. At a YAA program you will visit 10 different stations to learn about different facets of aviation.

2½-day intense, flat water clinic on open water, either May 18-20, 2012, Alum Creek Reservoir, $20; or June 1-3, 2012, Camp Oyo (residential), $20 + food you bring

Kayaking Paddle Safely
1-day kayak clinic on flat, open water
June 9, 2012, Alum Creek Reservoir, $20

Canoe Camping
2 nights, 2 days paddling & camping clinic with day-long lake trip
June 29-July 1, 2012, Delaware State Park, $20, your food + camp fees. Will be mailing out directions to those who register.

WHAT: Rappelling Clinic – A weekend training clinic combining rappelling skills with fun and fellowship
Rappel Master – An individual who is qualified to lead his/her unit on rappelling outings; a Rappel Master is required for all rappelling tour permits/outings
To qualify as a Rappel Master, an individual must pass the intern portion of the program. This usually requires 2 to 4 clinics
WHY: The objectives of the Rappelling Clinic are two-fold:
1)To help young scouts and novices learn safe and proper rappelling techniques
2)To qualify the more experienced participants as Rappel Masters




Cost: $100 for 1st Time Attendees, $65 for Add'l Clinic, $25 for Rappel Masters

EVENT IS FULL!

Come learn about Ohio government/history and earn your Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge at the Ohio Statehouse.

Scouts and parents are encouraged to bring a brown-bag lunch.

The program Includes a tour of the Ohio Statehouse by Statehouse historians Chris Matheney and Luke Stedke. This is a great way to learn about Ohio government and history while at the same time earning your Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge.

The program is free and open to the public, but space is limited to the first 30 Scouts who register. Hope to see you at “The People’s House.”
